The flag is designed with a stripe for each category of disability - red for physical disabilities, gold for neurodivergence, white for invisible disabilities or those that haven't yet been diagnosed, blue for emotional & psychiatric disabilities, and green for sensory disabilities including deafness, blindness, sensory processing disorders, and more. The muted black background is to recognize the dark history of people harmed by ableism and disability-fueled violence.
