We are pleased to share our Position Statement on Inclusive Education. Following the recent challenges in advocating for equitable and quality inclusive education for children with intellectual disabilities, we found it has become increasingly important for us to be transparent and specific about our position on inclusive education. This Position Statement aims to guide our work in education advocacy, provide us with public messaging that can be shared widely, and offer common language for our collaboration with stakeholders.
Since a Position Statement is wordy and complex in nature, we have also created a two-page summarized version of this Position Statement in accessible language and formatting to minimize barriers in understanding and participating in our work. We hope that you will join us in celebrating the release of these two documents and in our continued work to improve the education experience for all students across the province.
