Statement on Weyburn City Council Decision

Writer's picture: Travis NeufeldTravis Neufeld

Saskatchewan thrives on diversity and inclusion. By including others that are different than ourselves, we enrich our own lives and communities with new perspectives, possibilities, and friends and neighbours. Inclusion Saskatchewan applauds all of those in the Weyburn community who have stood up against discrimination and let the city’s Mayor and Councillors know that all individuals with disabilities deserve to be valued, supported, and included in all aspects of life.

We would like to see the City of Weyburn reverse their decision to deny the Weyburn Group Home Society to build a care home for four residents in The Creeks development, and look forward to engaging in future discussions with Weyburn’s elected officials on all things inclusion.
